Victorian Children's White Linen Blue Calico Print Broderie Anglaise Eyelet Dress
This antique Victorian era children's white linen blue calico print Broderie Anglaise eyelet dress dates from the 1890s. It is made of a white linen fabric with a pale baby blue faded calico print pattern grain of rice design and white cotton Broderie Anglaise eyelet whitework collar, cuffs, trim. This children's sailor style dress has a drop waist short skirt with pleated detail, belt loops, long sleeves with rolled cuffs, a large wide sailor collar back flap, mother of pearl button closures on the front top and is unlined. The dress measures 20 inches long, with a 22 inch chest, 24 inch waist, 24 inch hips, a 8 inch back and 10 inch long sleeve. It is in good as-is condition, with two tiny frays and small mended repair on the front top hidden underneath the collar and fading of the blue calico print (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of early antique Victoriana calico print whitework children's wearable art!
