Hi All, Having a Summer Sale 33% off. This flute would normally be listed at 5
    Flute 1 in video.
I collected this shakuhachi damaged in Japan in 2014 while on a grant in Japan.  It is a natural wide bore Jinashi Kinko Ryu made in the 1950s or earlier.  It has an open warm vibration with an easy tone. There is no maker's hanko stamp but this is a nice fully functional of the wide bore variety. This beautiful flute has been carefully restored over the years in my low-impact approach to repairs. It is a heftier larger diameter bamboo making is better for the player with large hands. It has a rumbling fundamental RO tonic (D -30cents)  and perfect for the player who likes to blow longer tones for the wider vibrations. It is a friendly flute that anyone can use for blowing zen, mediative playing and any other types of experimental relaxing playing. It is not a JIARI tuned bore contemporary instrument made for lessons, traditional music and/or contemporary music. Please inquire for those. You are only limited by your imagination.
This flute come with an audition period and lifetime guarantee.
I've been making and selling shakuhachi for over 25 years, the first on eBay when the internet came along. I understand how difficult it is to find the right instrument. You can also google my name and yungflutes for videos, blog to see how the shakuhachi helps UNICEF and your local food banks. Because I am a repair person, I can offer fully functional instruments well below the market price and stand by them.  Please ask questions and feel free to make me an offer. I pride myself in helping folks find the right flute for their needs.
In 2002 I received the Japan United States Friendship Commission to study shakuhachi making and playing in Japan under Kinya Sogawa, who apprenticed with Chikusen Tamai, who also trained many of the top professional shakuhachi makers in Japan today. In 2014, I received the Asian Culture Council Award to continue my studies and research into the Edo Period flutes and Koten Honkyoku music in Japan. Feel free to find me on instagram and facebook yungflutes to learn how my shakuhachi are helping the civil rights movement and food banks nationwide. Thanks for looking! - Perry
