The GPSMAP 276Cx is the ultimate successor to the GPSMAP 276C, which was one of the most popular navigation devices for motorized outdoor and marine adventurers due to its button operation, high level of customization and reliability. With additional sensors, the device is technically up to date and provides comprehensive, accurate and reliable data. The high-resolution 5" display is easy to read, even in sunlight. Various options such as "Drive" mode, TTS voice control and Curvy Roads have been added for optimal navigation. The 276 - a true experience
The new GPSMAP 276Cx was developed based on the legendary GPSMAP 276C, which is one of Garmin's most versatile and powerful navigation devices. Garmin has largely kept the user interface to match the usage as closely as possible to that of the original 276. Even the buttons are the same as the predecessor. Fans of the 276 will like the extensive customization options of the new navigation device, but they will also be delighted by the many new functions that have been added to the original 276 device.
Optimized sensor technology
The GPSMAP 276Cx sensor technology has undergone a major overhaul. GPS and GLONASS improve positioning in difficult environments. If using the device in the vehicle, connect an external antenna (not included) to the MCX connector to optimize satellite tracking. For better situational awareness, a barometric altimeter provides altitude readings and a 3-axis electronic compass gives you the right bearing in Allen situations, even when you're stationary.
A user interface optimized for outdoor use
We know how important an optimally legible display is when navigating. As a result, the new GPSMAP 276Cx's display is now 5 inches, is highly readable in sunlight, and supports rich colors for better viewing of maps. Thanks to its size and great viewing angles, the display ensures that it is always clearly visible from a variety of positions. In this way, good legibility and button operation enable safe operation even when mounted in a cockpit. This also applies if it's a bit bumpy, for example on a boat or in an off-road vehicle.
Robust and persistent
The usual high Garmin standards guarantee exceptional performance of the device in almost every situation. Extremely robust and waterproof according to IPX71 and paired with an extensively tested mounting system. We have over 4 years of experience working on the Montana®, providing strong mounts that fit most vehicles and boats. You get more freedom thanks to the more flexible power supply of the device. Connect it either to the power socket in the vehicle or Boot or use the NiMH battery pack (battery life of up to 16 hours) or 3 optional AA batteries (battery life up to 8 hours).
More maps and more storage space
There's a compatible map for the GPSMAP 276Cx for almost any destination you're heading to. A large 8GB internal memory comes preloaded with a worldwide basemap, a recreational map of Europe and a free one-year subscription to BirdsEye satellite imagery. Various optional cards are also supported, e.g. B. BlueChart® g2 marine charts, Garmin TOPO and TOPO PRO charts, City Navigator®, Garmin Custom Maps and BirdsEye Select raster charts. A microSD™ card slot allows you to expand the storage space to load additional maps.
More navigation features
With the appropriate charts installed, the GPSMAP 276Cx offers additional navigation features, such as a "Drive" mode for on-road navigation or Winding Road Routing for motorcyclists, which favors smaller, winding roads. When used with TOPO PRO maps, the device can select from a range of recreational routing options and assign them to each activity or destination. each vehicle choose the appropriate type of road. Those who prefer to navigate circuits and tracks are also catered for as the new 276Cx supports enhanced track navigation.
Advanced connectivity
The new GPSMAP 276Cx also comes with some advanced online capabilities. Connect the 276Cx via a Bluetooth headset to receive TTS voice prompts on your helmet. When the device is paired with a smartphone, you can get active weather data showing weather forecasts and an animated weather radar on the map page. Smart notifications such as emails, SMS messages, social network updates or LiveTrack are also supported so that you can share your exact position with family and friends. The device can also connect wirelessly to external sensors via ANT+, e.g. B. with the tempe™ to call up the outside temperature. Alternatively, you can connect it via WiFi to receive OTA updates and sync with Garmin Connect™.
