Sweet 1900s Victorian boy Travelling Linen outfit Dress.
We offered today for your consideration is this antique Victorian Linen boy’s travelling outfit dress.
This adorable dress is made of a very fine high quality Beige linen trimmed with Turkey red cotton. The original Victorian Travelling dress that created by hand stitching only. It is made from a light tan summer weight linen with Turkey red soutache trim. It has slopped shoulders , curved sleeves & abalone shell button as the closure. Red soutache trim the collar edge, cuffs, waist & hem of the skirt. The skirt is tightly Cartridge pleated below the waistband. It has handmade button holes.
Antique Linen Young Boy Travelling dresses from this era are quite rare due to heavy use and are worth quite a bit of money on their own to find and still be present over 100 years later is a real rarity.
The dress is in very good condition. Fabric is quite strong & durable. Only a couple of pin holes & few light tea stains on a skirt, few open seams on the sleeves & a small button missing at the back bottom but very easy to replaced with a matching one. Due to the color of the fabric flaws are hardly noticeable when display. Otherwise it is a good display piece. Vintage clothing is used clothing and sold As Is.
